Women's golf improves placing on final day to finish fifth at  Bulldogs Invitational.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA - UC Santa Cruz finished fifth of seven schools in their third tournament of the year at the Redlands Bulldogs Invite.

Three Banana Slugs- Mara Anunciacion, Riley Birch and Gillian Mendoza, finished in a tie for 18th at 11 over 155 in the two round event, with all three making one birdie on the final day. Birch started out in sixth place after the first round with a season-best 3-over 75.
Sophomores Sarah Donovan and Claire Oetinger finished 29th and 30th shooting a 168 and 169 respectively. UC Santa Cruz shot a two day score of 631 (314-317).
The host Bulldogs Won the event with a 587 total, 12 strokes better than second place Claremont Mudd. Taylor Beckwith of Whittier won first place by shooting a 2-under-142, three strokes better than her nearest competitor.
 
UC Santa Cruz finish the Fall half of the season in two weeks at George Fox's Culturame Classic in Canby, Oregon.
