Slugs Roll on and off the courts!

SANTA CRUZ, CA--Senior Marc Vartabedian and Junior Bryan Pybas are representing the Slugs in the 2009 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Small College Championships. This is one of collegiate athletics' most unique event which will be taking place October 15-18 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama. (more)

SANTA CRUZ, CA--The rubber meets the road this weekend as we take our team to the ITA Fall Regional Championships Oct 2-4 at Claremont College. Men's Tennis Wins 2009 National Championship

CLAREMONT, CA--The Amherst College men’s tennis team had its season come to an end Thursday afternoon with a 5-0 loss to UC Santa Cruz in the NCAA Division III Championship finals at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California. (more)

Men's Tennis Ilya Gendelman Names to the Academic All-District Team

SANTA CRUZ, CA--On the same day the Men's Tennis Team captures it's 7th National Championship, Senior Ilya Gendelman is placed on the 2009 Academic All-District Men's At-Large First Team. Presented by ESPN, this academic awards acknowledges Gendelman for not only his tennis accomplishments, but his accomplishments in the classroom. (more)
