Banana Slug runners dominate Association of Div. Three Independents end-of-season honors

Banana Slug runners snatched up numerous spots as the Association of Division Three Independents announced their Cross Country awards for 2016.

Freshman Paul Colosi continued his spectacular first year by winning both the Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year for the men. Colosi, a qualifier for this weekend's NCAA Championships, was joined on the first team by teammates Ethan Williams and Zahid Anjum.

Raymond Breault, Kevin Feng and Dante Capone made the All-Independents Second Team.
Solomon Reinman and Takehiro Yamaya were on the Third Team.

On the women's side, NCAA participant Shannon McClish was named to the AD3I First Team. Joining her were Raissa Boysen, Lizzie Meredith and Jordan Rich.  Rich was also name also named Rookie of the Year.

Banana Slugs on the Second Team were Ashley Anderson and Autumn Burton. Making the Women's Third Teawere Sydney Gutierrez and Sophia Mahoney.

Head coach Jamey Harris was honored by his peers as Women's Coach of the Year for the third time in a row.
