    Slugs Start Strong at USF Invite The UCSC men's cross country team started their second cross country season with seventh place finish out of 17 teams at the University of San Francisco Invitational. Featuring some of the top cross country programs on the West Coast, the men showed they belonged in a field filed with DI and DII teams and won by Pac-12 powerhouse Stanford University while the Cal men finished second overall.
