Lim repeats as AD3I Defensive Player of the Year; Nadler named Coach of the Year

OVERLAND PARK, KS - Senior co-captain Claire Lim was selected as Women's Soccer Defender of the Year in a vote by the Association of Division Three Independents.

It was the second consecutive Defender of the Year award for Lim.

This season, Lim started all 21 games for the Banana Slugs. She played over 1,600 minutes and led the team in shots while playing all over the field.

Lim was one of four Banana Slugs to make the AD3I First team. She was joined by defenders Joelle Steichen and Gaby Powell, who anchored a backline that allowed just two goals/game against one of the toughest schedules in the country. Midfielder Olivia Stewart also made the First Team after leading the Slugs in scoring.

Two sophomores made the Second Team: goalkeeper Allie Mandel and midfielder Julianne Hoeflich.

Head coach Lauren Nadler was named the Association's coach of the year after guiding the youthful Slugs to the NCAA Tournament.
