Golf opens second half of season at Camp Bowie Invite in Texas

BROWNWOOD, TEXAS - UC Santa Cruz dropped their first outing of Spring at the Camp Bowie Intercollegiate match-play event hosted by Howard Payne University.

The Banana Slugs fell to Schreiner University. Sarah Shi was the lone Banana Slug winner, winning 4 and 2 (ahead by four strokes with two holes to play).

"We knew how to play match play, and weren't even nervous," said head coach Paulette Pera. "We felt confident going into the match. "
 
The tournament continues tomorrow as UCSC faces Howard Payne.
