Men's & women's swimming compete at PCSC meet

LA MIRADA - UC Santa Cruz finished up the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference meet on Sunday.

The Banana Slug Men finished with 1267.5 points for third behind Fresno Pacific University 1577. UC San Diego repeated with a score of 1710.

In the last day of the four-day event, Tyler Andree was 7th in the 1650 free with a season-best time of 16:30.64. Hanno Rosner (17:00.08) and Mitchell Victoria (18:43.58) were 9th and 11th in the same event.

Wesley Whittlesey was 7th in the 200 Backstroke in 1:57.63. Kyle Rovira swam a 54.20 in the 100 Individual medley to place 6th

The women were 11th out of 13 teams with a score of 264. UC San Diego was the women's champion as well.

Standouts on the final day included Lael Proffit and Emilie Schneider who were 20th and 21st in the 1650 free and Morgan Smith, who set a school record in the 100 Individual Medley with a time of 1:03.56.
