UCSC Swimmers have good day in pool at Bay Area Invitational

UCSC's Swimming teams had a splendid Saturday at the Bay Area Invitational hosted by Mills College.

In addition to the hosts, Slugs competed against Biola, College of Idaho and Div. II Cal State East Bay

The inviational allowed UCSC to test their depth and allowed as many as three-teams in the various relays and a good variety of sprints middle and distance events.

For their efforts, Kelley Henderson and Travis Rogers were honored as the Female and Male Athlete of the Week by the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference.

Kelley's day included placing 3rd in the 1650 free, part of 800 free relay, 200 back 2:19.32, and 6th 500 free. Travis completed the "Distance Trifecta" with the following results: 2nd 1650 Free, 2nd 500 free , and 9th  400 IM 4:53.53.
