INDIANAPOLIS –– Chad Le Duff was selected to the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Individual Championships.
For the individual championships, the national committee selected seven singles players and three doubles teams from each of the four regions and then picked the remaining four singles players and four doubles team berths from a national at-large pool. The individual championships shall consist of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams.
Le Duff went 5-2 against Division III players in dual matches this season and was 11-8 overall in singles play this year. He made it to the semifinals of the Ojai Tournament Division III division.
UC Santa Cruz has won five individual NCAA titles, with Matt Seeberger winning the last of his three titles in 2007.
Last year's individual final in Chattanooga Tennessee featured Middlebury's Lubmoir Cuba beating Nikolai Parodi of CMS in straight sets. Both finalists are returning to this year's field.
The individual championships begin May 24-26 at The Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California, where the Slugs men's team begins NCAA Team play this Friday.
