Myers Norys wins AD3I Player of the Month honors;Pimentel wins player of the week.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – UC Santa Cruz sophomore goalkeeper Andrew Pimentel was selected as the Association of Division III Independents men's soccer Player of the Week and junior forward Jacob Myers Norys has been selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month for September. 

Pimentel made six saves in the 2-1 upset road win over ranked Division II opponent Chico State on Saturday. The sophomore ended the week with a .857 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average.

Myers Norys concluded the month with three goals, two assists and eight points for the Banana Slugs. He is tied for the team lead in goals and had the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win over Division II Holy Names September 16th. Myers Norys also added a goal against Berry and George Fox and continues to climb up the school record books in points, goals, assists and starts. The one-time Player of the Week ended the month with 12 shots on goal and is currently in the top 10 in the Association in points.
