Directions to UCSC by Car:

From San Francisco (north):

Take US 101-South to the I-280 South, then merge on the CA 85-South and exit 11A to Highway 17 South in Los Gatos. Keep right to continue on CA-1 North / Mission Street. Turn right onto Bay Street and the main UCSC entrance will be located at the corner of High St and Bay St.

 

From San Jose (east):

From I-280, merge onto Highway 17 South in Los Gatos toward Santa Cruz. Turn right onto Bay Street and the main UCSC entrance will be located at the corner of High St and Bay St.

 

From Monterey (south):

Get on CA-1 North / Cabrillo Highway and follow signs to Watsonville / Santa Cruz. Turn right onto Bay Street and the main UCSC entrance will be located at the corner of High St and Bay St.

 

Air Transportation and Shuttle service:

If you are traveling to camp by air, make arrangements to fly into San Jose International (SJC) or San Francisco International (SFO). You will need to make your own arrangements for transportation. Below is a list of suggestions for shuttle companies that will be able to provide you with ground transportation to UCSC and back to your airport for a fee:

Above costs refer to one camper, but price will decrease with multiple riders to same destination. The prices above do not include gratuity for driver. Also, members of AAA can obtain discounts at many shuttle companies.

When planning flight arrangements in conjunction with shuttle service, it will be helpful to conservatively estimate the travel time between San Jose as approximately 1 hour and San Francisco as approximately 1.5 hours.
